On sampling

Student: maria E. Ris Profesor:Hugo Adams Date: October 15, 203 Discussion: Sampling After doing what I think I did "research" I found that this word "sampling" is very complex and a little overwhelming due to soo much information. Just to understand its different defintions statistically, it was wide. I found, the different methods included in this terminology, such as, " simple random, systematic, stratified, cluster and multistage". Each concept or definitions brings along vast meaning. Each terms is used diferenty depending its function at the time.

Different examples were identified for nonprobabiity sampling, such as, convenience sampling, snowball sampling, judgemental sampling, case study, and ad hoc quotas. Sampling meaning is focused to the word population itself, looking into the statistical populaton/statistical model/statistical assembly and statistical unit.

Non-dab stuff on dab page

As it says on WP:DAB, "Disambiguation pages serve a single purpose: To let the reader choose between different pages that might reside under the same title." On that basis, I will continue to delete dab page material that doesn't serve that purpose. I'm pretty tired of arguing what should be a simple issue. ----Isaac R 06:11, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
