I came across SIL also as Significant In-Laws. Is this common (not a native speaker)? If so, plz add. thx — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.211.115.30 (talk) 17:45, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Systems Integration Lab

(moved from User_talk:Widefox) Thank you for looking at my Edit and I guess removing it?

A SIL, in the Systems Engineering work, for which I have worked for 30+ years, is a Systems Integration Lab

I am sitting in one now....

I was just trying to be helpful as it was coming up to intern season and many ask me about it.

It is mostly an American DoD Term.

Hi User:Smarcobi. The entry:
"Systems Integration Lab, System Integration Laboratory (SIL) is a Key Tool for Establishing and Testing Systems Engineering Discipline"
...has no article linked (so is not a valid entry per WP:MOSDAB. It's a redlink with no articles that link to that redlink, so that's not valid per MOSDAB. I couldn't find a mention in an article so that's not valid either per WP:DABMENTION. Per MOSDAB, add it to the correct article first (with WP:RS), and then here. Without an entry it serves no purpose on a dab page, so was removed. Widefox; talk 15:16, 26 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Google finds millions of hits for "Systems integration lab", so I've made a redirect from single and plural forms to System integration. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 23:16, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
