Talk:Père Jacques

Sainthood

There should be a section here on his canonization cause, which is mentioned only in the intro natemup (talk) 14:31, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

His current status is Servant of God. (Source: https://www.postocd.org/index.php/en/biography-giacomo-di-gesu - the website of the Postulator for his order.) There may be a little more information on the French Wikipedia page https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_de_J%C3%A9sus Hailing Cheerily (talk) 02:17, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Fate of Maurice and Simon Bas

According to this page [1], Maurice Bas (the Jewish teenager who was hidden as a worker) survived the war along with his younger brother Simon who fled Avon before the arrests. Is this a reliable enough source to include that information? My French isn't very good.Mwphil (talk) 20:57, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I added the mention that Maurice Bas survived, with the given citation. Since Simon Bas is not otherwise mentioned in the article (according to that article, he was in and out of Avon), I didn't mention him. Mwphil (talk) 14:57, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
