Should this be replaced by a disambiguation? Also, I am reasonably certain that mesh networks predate meshes for 3D modelling, although they may not predate meshes for 2D finite element analysis. Kelly Martin 15:43, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
Isn't this more of a dictionary definition and not an encyclopedia entry? --NicholasCharlesCaruso 01:08, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

What happened to mesh as in a measurement of fineness in chemistry? 67.42.75.190 22:37, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Would it be possible to have some information about the techniques used for producing mesh on this page? I suppose I am agreeing with NicholasCharlesCaruso above that this article is more of a dictionary definition Cjashwell (talk) 15:57, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

(Perhaps as an explanation of 'See also:' above:) "Mesh" is also a flexible/expandable amateur radio communications protocol, that has been around for at least 7 years, and probably many more, during amateur development.

Implications of “mesh” concepts
Perhaps we should note the emerging sophistication of radio meshes: as the number of users (and their devices) being served by each 802.11 router increases, traditional routers delivered less-reliable transmissions to end points. Widely-available and inexpensive multiplexing ASICs, pinholes, and software have enabled creation of multiple sub-channels and distribution of those sub-channels across each radio frequency. The resulting network is a mesh, although it's created by software engineering rather than electromagnetic engineering. DanvilleDad (talk) 21:27, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
