Replace Table header "Symbol" with "Currency Code/s"

Change the header label to "Currency Code/s".

'Currency Code' is the ISO standard term used in the Forex market used to describe these instruments - it is also widely used in Crypto.

It is the Crypto world that has adopted the poor practice of choosing terms that already have accepted definitions for "something" and using it to describe a completely different "something", and to make it worse there's usually already is a congruent definition for this other "something"! and it gets even worse, the terms they're ambiguously using are from the same industry sector. i.e. finance | securities |currencies.

Further the term 'symbol' is already ISO defined with respect to currency markets as: the character or characters used for a given currency, e.g. the dollar "$"; so, to refer to a 'currency code' as a 'symbol' is just ludicrous. This will only become more of an unnecessary problem when more crypto assets are normalised for different things because people will want a shorthand reference to them - ironically it will be a bit hard then to use the term 'symbol'!

This is simply a case of introducing a preventable risk - one that can be cured now.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.
Please detail what each column of the table should contain. Aston305 (complain/compliment) 01:07, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
