Talk:Hyperscale computing

reads like an advertisement

"Hyperscale computing is necessary in order to build a robust and scalable cloud, big data, map reduce, or distributed storage system and is often associated with the infrastructure required to run large distributed sites such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or Cloudflare." ....uh, ok. It's not really clear what it is other than buzz words and company names. treasuretron (talk) 23:04, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. This is marketing hype.
"In computing, hyperscale is the ability of an architecture to scale appropriately as increased demand is added to the system."
So, it scales infinitely for any amount of usage?
This is not tied to CPU architecture, as mentioned in the introductory paragraph; There is nothing intrinsically infinitely scalable about amd64, arm, risc-v, etc. Nerdcorenet (talk) 00:55, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
