Talk:Hedge wizard

Hello! Just wondering if anyone had any information on whether there was an actual "hedge wizard" per se in less contemporary times; all the information I can gather seems to have been based on 20th-century American cultural schemas. It doesn't have to be 'exactly' an hedge wizard - just having it fit the general description of a rural wizard would be grand! Ealhwine (talk) 01:42, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article should mention 'hedge knight', where the word hedge is used in a similar meaning. 85.194.1.92 (talk) 20:13, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Revert redirect for now

The article might be a dicdef but this reader (me) was looking up hedge wizard as mentioned here and the redirect to Magician (fantasy) was of no help. Let's hold off on the redirect until we can fit in a section explaining hedge wizard in Magician (fantasy). SlightSmile 15:40, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The reason that I redirected it is that it was entirely WP:OR. A search for sources did not come up with anything beyond pure fancruft or saying that it was another word for wizard. So, it should remain redirected without mention in the Magician article unless you can find proof it meets WP:GNG.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 21:22, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
