I declare this to be the best redirect in Wikipedia.

- Not quite yet, it still doesn't redirect to the relevant section. —Dispenser 06:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- :( The only reason why I didn't include the sections is because they might change. Perhaps it wouldn't be that harmful to add it, and leave a <!--note--> on List of HTTP status codes not to change the section titles without changing the redirects? I want the redirects to win the redirect contest ;P GracenotesT § 14:15, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Done! GracenotesT § 02:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- I was just look at WP:NOT and there they use
<span id="PAPER" />so that the anchor is keep even if the title changes the link still work properly. Anyway, I like these new redirects. —Dispenser 06:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

The example shows a redirect to a local resource. Unless I am mistaken, a Location: header should always name an absolute URL. Bernd Jendrissek (talk) 16:25, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
"It is an example of industrial practice contradicting the standard."
What the heck does that mean? It sounds self-contradictory. If the "industrial practice" isn't the standard, what is? Should it say "specification"? --70.142.46.216 (talk) 03:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- The Internet standard is defined by the specification (formed by the relevant RFCs), not by what vendors happen to implement. This is no different than in other endeavours such as electrical wiring or measuring instrument manufacture. Bernd Jendrissek (talk) 16:25, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Shouldn't the term be "industry standards"? Notice the "y" Reepy (talk) 23:10, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- "Industrial Standard" is a buzzword used by a few big corporations. Its actual meaning is more like popular practices and widespread tools. 91.16.138.249 (talk) 10:05, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
This is still very confusingly written. I don't understand it well enough to do the rewrite. - Jmabel | Talk 15:28, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Most of the citation needed parts can be cited from RFC 2616 itself, I think. Also I've read about all that on trustworthy sources myself. 91.16.138.249 (talk) 10:05, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
"Popular Browsers"
Which ones?
Do all or most current browsers do this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.114.102.2 (talk) 20:06, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Redirect
This article is very short since the topic has little to it. Also, the title (HTTP 302) is not a notable term. If you know what HTTP is, then you know what the title refers to. But, a title is supposed to be a notable term. This is not. Something like 302 (HTTP response status code) would be more appropriate. But... let's merge this into list of HTTP status codes where most other codes already live in peace and harmony. ... Done. Stevebroshar (talk) 14:33, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
