Creator of DUAL?

This article says Rahul Ved created DUAL, but other sources say Chuck Weiss did (e.g. http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/Dual) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.43.48.140 (talk) 17:26, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on DUAL table. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Double etymology

Hello,

I believe the phrases

"The name, DUAL, seemed apt for the process of creating a pair of rows from just one. [...]"

And after

The original DUAL table had two rows in it (hence its name), but subsequently it only had one row

are not consistent. It's called DUAL because its main utility was for pairing or because it originally had two rows? (I believe the first) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.86.218.246 (talk) 16:22, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
