Talk:Cryo-Save

I am an employee and representative of Cryo-Save. A lot of the info included in this article is out of date and I would like to make the following suggestions to the page. Thank you.:

Hi Cindy, thank you for your suggestions. I've incorporated your versions of the "Products and Services" and "Labs" sections into the article. The text you proposed as the lead is far too promotional to use in Wikipedia (it sounds like a press release or an advertisement), so I wasn't able to put that into the article. I also updated the article with the external links and some of categories you provided (the others don't exist). Thank you for providing us with updated information! A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 15:39, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fluffernutter. Thanks for your help. I've taken the lead as it is currently written and updated it as follows. I hope it is more fitting.

Cryo-Save is Europe's largest cord blood bank with over 200,000 samples stored. It it is based in Zutphen, the Netherlands, but operates in over 40 different countries. Certified laboratories and processing facilities can be found in the following locations: Belgium, Germany, Dubai, India, France (validation in progress) and South Africa. Cryo-Save is a founding member of ITERA and sponsors its annual scientific workshop. [1] The company is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.[2]

Thanks!--CindyCord (talk) 10:20, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying - that lead is much more appropriate, and I've copied it into the article with just a few minor changes (i.e. the company website specifies "over 185,000 samples", not "over 200,000"). A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk)

Hi Flutternutter. No worries about the delay. I'm glad the info was more fitting. If you check our website again, we have a press release announcing 200,000 samples stored. http://www.cryo-save.com/int/stem_cell_news1.html?mnSelY=2011&mnSelM=&mnSeliG=61&mnSeliM=912 We are also in the process of updating our many webpages with the right number. Could you please update this number on Wikipedia? Thanks! --CindyCord (talk) 14:47, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone please update my page with the correct number of samples stored (see last request)? Should be 200,000 and not 185,000. The following press releases can confirm this information: http://hugin.info/143308/R/1576086/491113.pdf and http://www.cryo-save.com/group/news__reports.html?mnSelY=2011&mnSelM=&mnSeliG=62&mnSeliM=912 You may also use these links as references. Thank you!--CindyCord (talk) 09:26, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi A fluffernutter is a sandwich!, in addition to my request above to change the number from 185,000 to 200,000, could I also ask the following to be updated? Cryo-Save Lab, India has now been AABB certified and I want to link to the actual certificate on our website.

India: ISO 9001:2008, WHO GMP, AABB, NABH and NABL in progress

Thank you!--CindyCord (talk) 14:02, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cindy - We're going to need to make some changes to the article to make it more suitable for here - the list of labs has no secondary references and unless these can found it needs to be removed. There are similar problems with the rest of the article - you need to start finding secondary sources to use as references, for example this. Anything like a press release should not be used as a reference - if no one took notice of your press release about reaching 200,000 samples then it shouldn't be in the article. I suggest you have a look through google news archives and see what you can find. If there's nothing in a week then I'll remove what is lacking secondary sources. SmartSE (talk) 17:29, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SmartSE. Thanks for the tips. I can certainly provide secondary references. 200,000 samples: http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=340561 http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/01/10/idUS49805+10-Jan-2012+HUG20120110 http://www.digitallook.com/news/17516746/Cryo_Save_Group_N_V_New_storage_record.html

India receiving AABB accreditation: http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=344790 http://flandersbio.be/news/cryo-save-india-receives-the-aabb-accreditation/ http://government.tmcnet.com/news/2012/01/12/6049088.htm

At the moment, a website dedicated to our labs is being built. Will that serve as a secondary source for the list of labs? Otherwise I might have to provide a reference for each one individually. What other facts do I need to provide references for? Thanks!--CindyCord (talk) 13:40, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SmartSE and A fluffernutter is a sandwich!. Could either of you help me get this page updated? Please see my comments above to SmartSE on January 16. Thank you!--CindyCord (talk) 10:40, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SmartSE and A fluffernutter is a sandwich!. Could either of you PLEASE help me get this page updated? We have a new labs website that we'd like to add now. Would it be ok if I made the changes myself and then let one/both of you check it over? Thank you!--CindyCord (talk) 14:42, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cindy, I'm sorry no one's gotten back to you before now! I'm not able to help you right now - too much other stuff I'm rushing off to do - but I wanted to let you know that we've created a noticeboard aimed at employees like yourself who need some help with articles. If you post your requests at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cooperation/Paid Editor Help‎ you should be able to get some timely assistance with what you need to do. A fluffernutter is a sandwich!
