History
How about some history of call waiting? President Lethe (talk) 18:24, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Seconded. There must be some techies who can write up the history of the invention and the introduction of the Call Waiting service? It was revolutionary at one time. Muziki (talk) 14:15, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Good Idea : Look at the page for Caller ID , get the history and evolution of technology. But Also Very good to know would be what US patents are associated with the service , such as there many law suits pertaining to telecommunications services / protocols. Too landline and US based, needs updating.
Surely this needs updating, in many ways. For example, most home and business customers do not use dial-up for data connections these days. Also this is more relevant for landlines, when mobiles use this function just as much, if not more-so. Additionally non-US functionality should be mentioned too.
