Neftchala (Azerbaijani: Neftçala) is a city and the capital of the Neftchala District of Azerbaijan. EtymologyThe origin of the city name is Persian ("naft" meaning oil or petroleum) and Azerbaijani ("çala" meaning trench), meaning oil trench.[2] History
