Mozu Station (百舌鳥駅, Mozu-eki) is a passenger railway station in located in Sakai-ku, Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). HistoryAsaka Station opened on 18 July 1929 as the Nintoku Goryo-mae Stop (仁徳御陵前停留場, Nintoku Goryo-mae Teiryujo). It was renamed Mozu Goryo-mae Stop (百舌鳥御陵前停留場, Mozu Goryo-mae Teiryujo) in May 1938 and to its present name on 1 May 1944. With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan Railway Company.
