Masaru Furukawa
Masaru Furukawa (古川 勝, Furukawa Masaru, January 6, 1936 – November 21, 1993) was a Japanese swimmer and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, where he received a gold medal in the 200 m breaststroke.[1] World recordsFurukawa improved the world record of 200 metres breaststroke (long course) four times in 1954 and 1955, and his last record lasted until 1958. AwardsFurukawa was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1981. See also
