Lavumisa
Lavumisa is a town located in the Shiselweni district of southern Eswatini. It is a border crossing point to the neighbouring town of Golela in South Africa. Highway MR8 and the railway cross here. Lavumisa recorded a temperature of 47.4 °C (117.3 °F), which is the highest temperature to have ever been recorded in Eswatini.[1] Lavumisa also hosts a solar PV Park, a 10MW solar PV power project which is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in september 2021. It has beem developed into multiple phases and it is owned by Eswatini Electricity Company.
