"Wake Me Up" is a song by the American rapper ColanXP featuring American rapper ReallyMarck. It was originally released as a promotional single exclusively to YouTube on June 28, 2024, before being released through Capture Records and Republic Records, leads an opening track of his debut commercial mixtape Walkine, on September 18, 2025. The song was produced by Xonthebeat and written by ColanXP and ReallyMarck, which it was later released as an extended version.
Background and release
From through December 2024 to September 18, 2025, Colan had released several snippets to his Instagram. Pacing his music career to be gaining recognition. He released his mixtape Walkine and he gained a certification to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). On July 18, 2024, Colan announced his Discord server that he is going to release a deluxe version of the mixtape. The release of "Wake Me Up" was recorded in Colan's house, praising him recording songs mainly on Discord. The opening track of "Wake Me Up", shows ReallyMarck using loud ad-libs, screaming into his mic, "Please just wake me up", without forgetting lyrics. The song was produced by Xonthebeat, an funny and entertainment producer and written by ColanXP and ReallyMarck. Colan announced his audience saying that he was banned from stream platforms, where somebody use a false alarm to block him for platforms.
Composition
The composition of the song was composed of popularization of ColanXP with his music style to his "deeper and lower sound" and recognition to his "baby voice".
