Sam Leifer is a writer, director, producer and executive producer best known for co-creating, co-writing and directing the ITV Roman sitcom Plebs which won the Royal Television Society award for Best Scripted Comedy.[1] and the British Comedy Award for Best New Comedy[2] as well as being nominated for two BAFTAs[3][4]
Career
Leifer studied Classics at Keble College, Oxford.
Together with Tom Basden, he co-created, co-wrote and directed all 5 series of Plebs[5], as well as the feature length special, Soldiers of Rome.
As director, Sam has worked on series including the UK adaptation of Call My Agent,[6] the US version of Friday Night Dinner,[7] two series of Piglets,[8] How Not To Live Your Life,[9] Moving Wallpaper,[10] Gap Year[11] and the BIFA nominated short The 10th Man.[12]
He also co-exec produced Extraordinary for Disney+.[13]
