Rajani Chandra is an Indian-born entrepreneur and social activist based in the UAE. In 2021, she was conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, the highest honour conferred by the Government of India on Non-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin, for her contributions to business and social service.[1][2]

Early life and education

Chandra was born and raised in India and moved to the United Arab Emirates.

Career

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chandra was involved in efforts to assist Indian nationals in the Gulf.

Awards

In January 2021, Chandra was named a recipient of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman. The award was conferred by President Ram Nath Kovind during the 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention. She was recognized for her work to the welfare of the Indian diaspora.
