Prodoscore is an American company that produces workforce analytics and productivity software. The company's platform uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to measure worker engagement and output by tracking data across cloud-based business applications.[1] Prodoscore is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA.
History
Prodoscore was founded in 2018 to provide business organizations with visibility into employee daily workflows and engagement levels. The company's software saw a significant increase in adoption during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the widespread transition to remote and hybrid work models.[2] CEO Sam Naficy has commented publicly on remote and hybrid work trends, noting that providing employees autonomy in how they work contributes to greater engagement and improved performance outcomes.[3]
In May 2020, Prodoscore secured a Series A funding round led by Troy Carter. In May 2021, SNK Capital Partners provided an additional $3M in funding to Prodoscore. In January 2023, Prodoscore announced a strategic growth investment led by PSG, a growth equity firm partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to help accelerate their growth.
In 2023 and 2024, Prodoscore's proprietary algorithms and data tracking methods became a frequent case study in academic research and policy discussions regarding AI-driven workplace surveillance and its impact on employee privacy.[4]
As of 2026, Prodoscore operates as a fully remote company, with previous plans to open an office in Boston for certain functions. The company has described its approach to workplace structure as hybrid, gathering teams on a regular basis. CEO Sam Naficy stated publicly that he believes many companies issue return-to-office mandates based on insufficient data rather than objective performance measurement.[5]
Platform and Features
Prodoscore is a workforce analytics and productivity intelligence platform that uses AI, data analysis, reports, and dashboards to provide employee productivity insights.
Prodoscore captures employee data using API integrations, a desktop agent, and a browser extension. Prodoscore integrates with cloud applications such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and corporate communications tools. It aggregates digital activity data—including emails sent, calendar events, and chat messages—to generate a daily productivity score, or "Prodoscore", for individual employees and teams.[6] ProdoAI is an AI engine built into the platform that interprets the data to provide analysis and recommendations. ProdoAI Chat is a conversational AI chatbot built into the platform that enables natural language queries. Prodoscore does not utilize 'keystroke logging', content scraping, screen monitoring, or camera access.
The platform has been cited as a tool for identifying employees whose contributions may be underrecognized through conventional management practices. In one documented case, a Prodoscore customer used the platform to identify an employee who had been repeatedly passed over for raises but whose data revealed an extensive pattern of cross-team collaboration and internal knowledge-sharing, leading the organization to reconsider the employee's standing.[7]
An internal analysis of more than 25,000 employees across nearly 300 organizations found that AI adoption tripled over a 14-month period, with employees who use AI consistently recording productivity gains of up to 32% compared to non-users.[8]
The software is primarily utilized by human resources, team leaders, executives, and operations management to analyze workplace efficiency.
Awards and Recognition
In 2025, Prodoscore was named to Inc. magazine's "Best in Business" list, receiving recognition in the "Best AI Implementation" category for its use of machine learning to analyze workplace data points.[9]
In 2021, Prodoscore was named to CRN's "Emerging Vendors to Know" list, receiving recognition in the "Big Data Vendors" category for its visibility into employee productivity and engagement data in the form of a simple score.[10]
In 2019, Prodoscore was awarded the "Unified Communications Product of the Year Award" from 'TMC', an award that honors the most innovative unified communications products and solutions available over the past twelve months as judged by the editors of TMC's INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.[11]
