History

Pinaka Studios was established in 2018 under Paramvah Studios, a production house founded by actor and filmmaker Rakshit Shetty. The studio was created to provide high-quality visual effects (VFX), animation, and motion graphics services for Indian cinema, with a primary focus on Kannada-language films.[1]

Sachin B. Ravi, who began his career as an editor before transitioning into direction, has been instrumental in shaping the studio’s creative and technical direction.[2] Along with co-founder Abhishek M, he oversees the studio’s production pipeline and visual effects development.

Notable work

Avane Srimannarayana (2019)

Pinaka Studios contributed to the visual effects of Avane Srimannarayana (2019), a fantasy adventure film directed by Sachin Ravi and produced by Paramvah Studios. The film was noted for its stylized fictional world and extensive use of VFX to build large-scale sets, action sequences, and digital environments.[3]

777 Charlie (2022)

The studio also handled visual effects for 777 Charlie (2022). The film featured what has been described as “invisible VFX,” where digital enhancements were seamlessly integrated into live-action footage. The work included environment extensions, clean-up work, and compositing to support scenes involving the film’s canine protagonist while maintaining realism.[4]
