Beverly Ruby, known as Icy Diamond, born on May 11th, 2000 in Dole in the Jura, is a French transgender influencer, activist, visual artist, author, model, director, producer and a former pornographic actress.

She grew up and attended school in Franche-Comté until 2016, before moving to Paris in 2017, where she lives, works, and studies.

Her childhood in Dole was marked by mistreatment by her parents, which is why she lived between foster homes and families until she was 17. During her adolescence, Beverly Ruby suffered from school bullying, homophobia, transphobia and physical and sexual violence. Her life path led her into the field of political activism, through a commitment to gender equality, human rights, particularly for LGBTQIA+ people and sex workers. Present at demonstrations and on social networks, she uses her image to raise awareness about these causes, such as during her appearance on the show "Touche Pas à mon Poste!" (TPMP) on C8, or at the Paris "Hôtel de Ville" (Paris City Hall).

She began her career as a pornographic actress in 2019. She has been nominated in several categories at ceremonies and has received several awards. In 2020, she received the award for "Best Francophone Model" at the Ero Awards and in 2021 the award in the "Best Tube Trans" category at the same Ero Awards. The same year, Icy Diamond was nominated in the "Best Non US Performer" category at the Transgender Erotica Awards (The TEA Show). In 2023, she was nominated for Best Non-US Performer at the XBIZ Awards and Best Non-US Performer at the Transgender Erotica Awards (The TEA Show). In April 2024, she announced in an interview on the YouTube channel OHO Live that she was retiring from sex work. "I've done my time, I've lost the passion I had".

In 2021, Icy Diamond produced and directed his first pornographic film, La bite au chocolat de beau papa. It was selected for the first edition of the Brussels Porn Film Festival in 2022. The film was also part of the Official Selections at the following festivals:

The documentary discusses her journey and her struggles, while following her during her stay in Brussels for the premiere of her film La Bite au Chocolat de Beau Papa , selected for the 1st edition of the Brussel Porn Film Festival.

During the demonstration against pension reform in Paris on February 11th, 2023, Icy Diamond was the victim of a sexual assault during a militant action. The scene was filmed and quickly the video of the assault made the rounds on social networks, going viral. The Touche pas à mon poste! team invited Icy Diamond onto the live set to return to the assault during the program broadcast on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023. Taking advantage of the speaking space granted to her, Icy discusses the condition of women in the public space, ordinary machismo and the labor rights of sex workers, and puts several columnists back in their places after receiving insulting and misogynistic comments. Before leaving the set, Icy lifts her top and reveals her breasts in reference to Liberty Leading the People, a painting by Eugène Delacroix made in 1830. The live sequence also goes viral.

On March 11th, 2023, a party held at the Paris City Hall was tinged with scandal after Icy Diamond took political action there. She posed suggestively in the corridors of the City Hall and posted the photos on social media to denounce France's policy of repression towards sex workers and the City of Paris's position on the issue. Her protest action was commented on in the media.

Through these two controversies, her interventions on social networks, on the occasion of a column published in Friction Magazine or during photo shoots, Icy Diamond claims a posture of "New Marianne", of queer icon of the revolution against transmisogyny and all forms of discrimination. She diverts and reappropriates the emblematic symbolic figure of Marianne in the service of the fight for a more inclusive country . By speaking out loud, she disturbs the social order, her media presence allows to change the status quo.
