Forgotten: Perpetual Stalemate (abbreviated as F:PS), simply referred to as Forgotten, is a 2024 top-down psychological horror game developed by 88shard88. It is divided into two versions: the PowerPoint version, which was released in early 2025 and the Steam version, which is planned to release in early to late 2026, both only available on PC.^{[citation needed]}

It takes heavy inspiration from media such as The Shining, the Doom II mod "MyHouse.wad", and House of Leaves, which also inspired MyHouse.wad, with the game's plot and design.^{[citation needed]}

In the PowerPoint version, you play as Seven, exploring an abandoned mansion called The Manor.

The Steam version has an opening similar to the PowerPoint version, except for the fact that Seven enters The Manor after being washed up from a river and having a longer intro section in the valley.

Seven is the main character in both versions of Forgotten.

In The Manor, Seven appears as the person behind the radio helping you throughout the game, and as the final secret boss, requiring you to replay your current save to fight them.^{[citation needed]}

Cloth is a character that only appears in the Steam version.

The Mirror Monster is an entity that creates a copy of whatever explorer is currently in the Manor, albeit slightly off.

The concept of Forgotten was conceived August 24, 2024,^{[citation needed]} but it first began development on August 27.^{[citation needed]} It took only 9 months to complete, despite 88shard88's lack of experience making video games beforehand.^{[citation needed]} It was entirely developed on a school laptop.^{[citation needed]}

The Manor has been confirmed to be a direct sequel to Forgotten, most likely being released in late 2027. ^{[citation needed]}

ITERATION2 is a spin-off of Forgotten taking place in a completely different universe.^{[citation needed]} The game is meant to be more confusing and weird than it, taking inspiration from scenes from films like Alice in Wonderland.^{[citation needed]} According to 88shard88, the game took heavy inspiration from a dream he had.^{[citation needed]}

An unnamed prequel was confirmed in mid-2025.^{[citation needed]} It's an actual horror game,^{[citation needed]} taking place decades before the events of Forgotten. You play as a detective investigating the Manor, trying to find any evidence against the owner on accounts of fraudulence.^{[citation needed]}

Forgotten: Lawless Soul Death; i hate you (F:LSD;ihy) is a remaster of Forgotten's PowerPoint version confirmed November 18, 2025.^{[citation needed]} It's a heavily altered version of the original, with an extended introduction and expanded areas.^{[citation needed]}
