CVORM - Industry, S.A., commonly known as CVORM, is a Cape Verdean company active in the plastic recycling and plastic transformation sector. It is based in Ribeirão Chiqueiro, in the municipality of São Domingos, on the island of Santiago.[1]
The company is associated with Industriambientalizar, an industrial project concerning the recycling and transformation of plastic waste in Cape Verde.[1][2]
Activity
CVORM's stated industrial activity includes the recycling and transformation of plastic materials. According to the environmental impact documentation published by Cape Verde's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the project includes processes such as injection molding, blow molding, extrusion and thermoforming.[1]
The same documentation also refers to activities related to metal moulds, including their manufacture, trade, repair and maintenance.[1]
Industrial project
The company was incorporated in Cape Verde in 2021 by Edmilson Rocha and Jailson Rocha.[3] It became publicly associated with the development of a plastic recycling and transformation unit in Cape Verde through coverage by Cape Verdean and international media.[4][2]
The Industriambientalizar project was later included in an environmental impact assessment made available by Cape Verde's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.[1]
International cooperation
In 2024, CVORM was among the Cape Verdean companies reported to have participated in the Macau International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition, also known as 2024MIECF.[5][6][7][8]
Cape Verdean and Macanese media linked the company's participation in the event to industrial cooperation and the acquisition of equipment for its activities in Cape Verde.[5][7][9]
