Alexander Alexandrovich Krushelnitskiy (Russian: Алекса́ндр Алекса́ндрович Крушельни́цкий, IPA:[ɐlʲɪˈksandrɐlʲɪˈksandrəvʲɪtɕkrʊʂɨlʲˈnʲitskʲɪj]; born 20 May 1992) is a Russian curler predominantly playing as skip. He was banned for four years after testing positive for Meldonium.
On 18 February 2018, it was reported that he had failed a doping test for meldonium at the Winter Olympics, and was awaiting testing of the B sample.[2][3] After the B sample was also positive, the Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed that they were instituting formal proceedings against him.[4]
On 22 February 2018, it was confirmed that Krushelnitskiy would be stripped of his Olympic bronze medal, due to his doping violation.[5]
On 4 December 2018, he was banned from participating in sports for four years (retroactively starting on 12 February 2018).[6]
