The 3rd Children's and Family Emmy Awards will be presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), to honor the best in American children's and family-oriented television programming in 2023 and 2024, following on from the 2nd Children's and Family Emmy Awards, which were held in December 2023. The ceremony is set to be held on March 15, 2025, marking a permanent move for the awards, which held the first two iterations in December. The eligibility period ran from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024, mirroring that of the Primetime Emmy Awards.[1]

The winners will be announced during two ceremonies, one focused on creative and technical arts and the other dedicated to performances and programming. Nominations were revealed on December 12, 2024, with Percy Jackson and the Olympians leading with sixteen nominations.

Ceremony information

In December 2023, NATAS president Adam Sharp revealed that the 3rd Children's and Family Emmy Awards would move from December to a point between mid-January and early-February (following the Golden Globe Awards but prior to the Academy Awards), citing feedback from industry members who wanted the ceremony to be moved outside of the holiday season.[2]

Category changes

A number of changes to categories and eligibility criteria will take effect for the 3rd Children's and Family Emmy Awards:[3][4]
