The 2023 Blaby District Council election took place on 4 May 2023 to elect members of the Blaby District Council in England.[3][4] They were held on the same day as other local elections.[5]

Boundary changes

On 5 July 2022, the Local Government Boundary Commission announced the completion of their review of Blaby's ward boundaries. The final recommendation reduced the number of councillors from 39 to 36 and the number of wards from 18 to 17. This consisted of three 3-member wards, thirteen 2-member wards and one single member ward. These proposals were approved by Parliament in December 2022 to come info force for the council elections held in May 2023.[6][7]

Results summary

The Conservative Party narrowly retained control of the council.[8]
