Win Draw Loss Fixtures
On 23 June, the league fixtures were announced.[56] Walsall's away game against Doncaster Rovers was later brought forward to avoid a potential clash with an England world cup game.[57] Walsall's last match of the season was pushed back due to the coronation of King Charles III[58]
The Saddlers were drawn at home to Swindon Town in the first round.[62] Walsall were then drawn at home to League One side Charlton Athletic in the second round after winning 2–0 in the first round.[63] Walsall then exited the Carabao Cup following a 1–0 loss to Charlton Athletic.
