1953 U.S. National Championships – Women's singles
Two-time defending champion Maureen Connolly defeated Doris Hart in the final, 6–2, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1953 U.S. National Championships. With the win, she became the first woman in history to complete the Grand Slam.[1] Connolly won the tournament without losing a set.[2] SeedsThe seeded players are listed below.
