Το Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) είναι ένα πρόγραμμα κρυπτογράφησης που παρέχει κρυπτογραφική ιδιωτικότητα και αυθεντικοποίηση για τη μεταφορά δεδομένων. Το PGP χρησιμοποιείται για την ψηφιακή υπογραφή, κρυπτογράφηση και αποκρυπτογράφηση κειμένων, e-mails, αρχεία, καταλόγων όπως και για την αύξηση της ασφάλειας της επικοινωνίας μέσω ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου. Το PGP αναπτύχθηκε το 1999 από τον Phil Zimmermann.[1]
