S erschtmol erwähnt wird de Ort Sülche als „Sulichi(n)“ i de Läbesgschicht vom Hailige Meinrad, wo vo Mönch us em Chloschter Sanggalle, noch em Vorbild von ere ältere Läbesgschicht, am Aafang vom 10. Johrhundert verfasst worden isch. Noch däre Legände söll de Meinrad us em Sülchgau cho sii. Im 11. Johrhundert isch Sülche zum ene Herrschaftszentrum vo de Adelsfamilie vo den Hessone worde und dodemit au s Zentrum vom Sülchgau, wo öpen em hütige Landchrais Tübinge entsproche hät. Mit a di 48 Hektare Flächi isch Sülche zitewiis viermol so gross gsi, wie Rotteburg bi sinnere Gründig um 1280.[1] Ab de Gründig vo de Stadt Rotteburg hät Sülche as Wohnort immer meh a Bedütig verloore.
