Washptah

Washptah, dengan nama kedua Izi, merupakan seorang pejabat Mesir Kuno selama Dinasti Kelima di bawah pemerintahan Raja Neferirkare Kakai. Gelarnya yang terpenting adalah wazir, yang menjadikannya pejabat terpenting di istana raja, yang kedua selain raja. Di samping kantor wazir ia memegang beberapa posisi penting lainnya, termasuk pengawas juru tulis dokumen raja dan pengawas seluruh karya kerajaan.[1]

Washptah terutama dikenal dari Mastabanya di Saqqara Utara yang dicatat oleh Gaston Maspero yang ditugaskan untuk itu nomor D 38.[2] Di makamnya tercatat sebuah prasasti biografi yang melaporkan bahwa Washptah mengunjungi sebuah bangunan Raja Neferirkare, ia jatuh sakit dan raja mengirim beberapa dokter untuk membantu.[3] Teksnya tidak terpelihara dengan baik sehingga beberapa keterangan tetap tidak jelas. Tampaknya Washptah meninggal dan raja merawat bangunan makam dan kultus pemakaman. Prasasti itu dibuat oleh putra sulung Washptah.[4]
