Sejarah
Stasiun Ombetsu dibuka pada tanggal 1 Maret 1903. Dengan privatisasi Kereta Api Nasional Jepang (JNR) pada 1 April 1987, stasiun ini berada di bawah kendali JR Hokkaido.[1]
