Six Apart Ltd. (6A) adalah sebuah perusahaan perangkat lunak yang dikenal karena membuat perangkat blog Movable Type, layanan hos blog TypePad, dan Vox (platform blog). Perusahaan tersebut juga merupakan bekas pemilik LiveJournal. Six Apart bermarkas besar di Tokyo. Nama tersebut adalah sebuah rujukan dari perbedaan usia enam hari antara sepasang pendiri yang dulunya menikah, Ben dan Mena Trott.[1]
Riwayat
Perusahaan tersebut dibentuk pada September 2001 setelah Ben, pada masa pengangguran, menulis apa yang menjadi Movable Type untuk memperkenankan Mena untuk memproduksi weblognya dengan mudah. Kala versi 1.0 ditempatkan apda web, perangkat tersebut diunduh lebih dari 100 kali pada jam pertama.[1]
