Sefpirom adalah antibiotik sefalosporin generasi keempat. Sefpirom dianggap sangat aktif melawan bakteri Gram-negatif termasuk Pseudomonas aeruginosa, dan bakteri Gram-positif.

Spektrum kerentanan dan resistensi bakteri

Bacteroides fragilis, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas spp., dan Staphylococcus resisten terhadap Sefpirom sulfat; serta beberapa Haemophilus spp. dan Pneumococcus telah mengembangkan resistensi terhadapnya pada tingkat yang berbeda-beda.[1]
