Niltava (dari niltau, bahasa Nepal) atau burung sampuran adalah genus burung pengicau dalam famili penangkap lalat Dunia Lama Muscicapidae. Mereka ditemukan di Asia Selatan dan Tenggara serta di Cina. Tujuh spesies dalam genus tersebut dimorfik seksual. Jantan memiliki bagian atas berwarna biru dan semua kecuali niltava besar memiliki bagian bawah berwarna oranye kemerahan. Betinanya berwarna kurang cerah dan memiliki bagian atas berwarna coklat dan bagian bawah berwarna kekuning-kuningan.

Taksonomi

Genus Niltava diperkenalkan pada tahun 1837 oleh naturalis Inggris Brian Hodgson dengan spesies Niltava sundara sebagai spesies tipenya. [1] [2] Nama genusnya berasal dari kata Nepal Niltau untuk sampuran perut-merah. [1] [3]
