Rumeli Hisarı

Rumeli Hisarı (Rumelihisarı), juga dikenal sebagai Kastil Rumelia atau Kastil Roumeli Hissar,[1] adalah sebuah benteng yang terletak di Distrik Sarıyer di Istanbul, Turki, di sebuah bukit di sisi Eropa dari Selat Bosporus. Nama benteng ini digunakan oleh bagian kota di sekitarnya. Benteng ini dibangun oleh Sultan Utsmaniyah Mehmed II antara tahun 1451 dan 1452, sebelum penaklukan pasukannya atas Konstantinopel.[1] Tiga menara besar diberi nama menurut nama ketiga wazir Mehmed II: Sadrazam Çandarlı Halil Pasha, yang membangun menara besar di sebelah pintu gerbangnya; Zaghanos Pasha, yang membangun menara selatan; dan Saruja Pasha, yang membangun menara utara.
