Manoah

Manoah (Ibrani: מָנ֫וֹחַ Mānoaḥ) adalah sebuah figur dari Kitab Hakim-Hakim 13:1-23 dan 14:2-4 dari Alkitab Ibrani. Namanya memiliki arti "rehat" atau "diam".[1]

Keluarga

Menurut Alkitab, Manoah berasal dari suku Dan dan tinggal di kota Zorah. Ia menikahi seorang wanita, yang mandul. Namanya tak disebutkan dalam Alkitab. Namun menurut tradisi, ia disebut Hazelelponi atau Zʻllpunith.[2] Ia adalah putri dari Etam dan saudari dari Ishma.

Manoah dan istrinya[3] adalah orang tua dari hakim terkenal Samson. Menurut tradisi Rabbinik, mereka juga memiliki seorang putri bernama Nishyan atau Nashyan.[4][5]
