Lithophragma adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam suku Saxifragaceae yang mencakup sekitar sembilan spesies asli Amerika Utara bagian barat. Tumbuhan ini secara umum dikenal sebagai bintang hutan (woodland stars). Kelopak bunganya biasanya berwarna putih cerah dengan lobus atau taju yang dalam dan panjang. Setiap kelopak mungkin terlihat seperti tiga hingga lima kelopak, padahal jika diamati lebih dekat, lobus tersebut menyatu menjadi satu kelopak di pangkalnya. Sebagian besar spesies bereproduksi melalui bulbil (tunas umbi) alih-alih biji. L. maximum adalah spesies terancam punah yang terdaftar secara federal. Lithophragma secara khusus berevolusi bersama dengan ngengat dari genus Greya, yang melakukan penyerbukan dan hanya bertelur pada tumbuhan Lithophragma.[2]
Spesies
Terdapat 10 spesies.[1] Plants of the World Online dan Flora of North America North of Mexico meningkatkan status Lithophragma trifoliatum menjadi spesies,[3][1] namun Jepson Manual menganggapnya sebagai varietas dari L. parviflorum (L. parviflorum var. trifoliatum) yang terbatas di California.[4]
