Klimbazol adalah agen antijamur topikal yang umum digunakan dalam pengobatan infeksi jamur kulit manusia seperti ketombe, dermatitis seboroik, dan eksem. Klimbazol telah menunjukkan kemanjuran in vitro dan in vivo yang tinggi terhadap Malassezia spp. yang tampaknya memainkan peran penting dalam patogenesis ketombe.[2] Struktur kimia dan sifatnya mirip dengan fungisida azola lainnya seperti ketokonazol, klotrimazol, dan mikonazol.
