Falcatus adalah sebuah genus chondrichthyes falcatid yang hidup selama periode Karbon Awal di Teluk Bear Gulch di tempat yang sekarang menjadi Montana.
Deskripsi
Ikan ini berukuran cukup kecil, dengan panjang hanya sekitar 25–30 cm, sehingga ukurannya setara dengan beberapa jenis hiu terkecil di dunia yang hidup kini, seperti hiu lentera kerdil.[1] Falcatus adalah ikan chondrichthyes yang merupakan sejenis "holocephali stethacanthid bergigi kladodon".[2] Material terawal yang diketahui dari genus ini adalah duri siripnya yang menonjol, melengkung ke depan hingga di atas kepala hewan tersebut.
