ENDOG
Endonuklease G, mitokondrial adalah enzim yang pada manusia disandikan oleh gen ENDOG.[4][5] Protein ini terutama berperan dalam apoptosis independen caspase melalui degradasi DNA ketika terjadi translokasi dari mitokondria ke nukleus di bawah stres oksidatif.[6] Akibatnya, EndoG telah terlibat dalam kanker, penuaan, dan penyakit neurodegeneratif seperti penyakit Parkinson (PD). Regulasi tingkat ekspresi gen ini memiliki potensi untuk mengobati atau memperbaiki kondisi medis tersebut.[6][6][7]
