Cyclopoida adalah ordo krustasea kecil dari subkelas Copepoda.[1] Seperti kebanyakan copepoda lainnya, anggotanya berukuran kecil dan merupakan hewan planktonik yang hidup baik di laut maupun di habitat air tawar. Mereka mampu bergerak cepat. Perkembangan larvanya adalah metamorfosis, dan embrio dibawa dalam kantung berpasangan atau tunggal yang melekat pada somit perut pertama.[2]
Ciri Khas
Cyclopoida dibedakan dari copepoda lainnya dengan adanya antena pertama yang lebih pendek dari panjang kepala dan dada, dan antena kedua yang uniramous. Sambungan utamanya terletak di antara segmen tubuh keempat dan kelima.[3]
