Batu Etam

Batu Etam disebutkan sebagai sebuah batu dengan gua di mana Simson bersembunyi setelah ia "memukul dan merremukkan tulang-tulang" orang-orang Filistin.[1] Batu tersebut beradal di kawasan Suku Yehuda tetapi tampaknya di wilayah bukit rendah (tempat yang sama dengan kota Etam). Bukit batu yang membentang di desa Beit `Atab, dekat Sur`ah (Zorah) dianggap sebagai "Batu Etam" menurut Conder.[2] Pihak lain menyatakan bahwa gua besar yang dikenal sebagai `Arak Isma`in, seperti yang dideskripsikan oleh Hanauer (PEFS, 1886, 25), diidentifikasikan dengan "Batu Etam." Gua tersebut, yang berada di tebing utara Wady Isma`in, adalah sebuah tempat terkenal dari jalur kereta api karena jurang tersebut dapat dimasuki oleh kereta.[3]
